KG+2018 “Kamogawa Foetus motus -Exhibition in-between Sky and River-” prays for the restoration of the Kamo River, where “ayu” fish swim upstream. It is developed under the cooperation of the Kamogawa Fisheries Association, to save these fish from cormorants. The exhibition is a photo montage of a large dragon displayed on the river, recalling “Yuzen Nagashi,” the process of removing dyes from cloth in a clean river.

7 years have passed since I first came to Kyoto, during which I have encountered many scenes of the “in-between,” both usual and unusual.  These moments of “makai” (“encountering the in-between”) are gathered in this exhibition.
This exhibition is an attempt to consider the “Circle of Life” from the standpoint of makai.
